Recently, neighbors noted that there was a commotion at the FIT company site over the weekend. Trucks full of equipment, photo and film cameras, and two well-rehearsed crews showed up at our buildings for a photo shoot with a combined video shoot. The protagonists were mostly four-legged.... Chairs and tables! For the lavish presentation of their new product line, the high-quality chair brand Züco Averio for the lounge and conference area was stylishly staged in our location. Sustainability award for concrete 3D printing funding25.10.2022

The "Raiffeisenbank im Oberpfälzer Jura eG" has shown courage and foresight by supporting FIT AG in the realization of the pioneering technology of 3D printing of large-format concrete components. This formwork-free technology is used for innovative architectural projects. By using a variety of additives such as expanded glass or wood chips, the base material can specifically acquire new properties. For promoting this innovative technology at the market leader FIT AG, Raiffeisenbank has now been awarded the "NachhaltigkeitsGestalter" (Sustainability Designer) prize.

AM Medical Days 2022: Introducing a new generation of stents20.10.2022

At the AM Medical Days symposium in Berlin, FIT's medical expert Matthias Kern presented the innovative stent project of FIT and its research partners, the University Hospital Regensburg and the East Bavarian Technical University Regensburg, OTH. The designated project goal is to produce easily deformable aortic stents using a specially developed technology called micro-laser melting. These innovative stents can be used to improve surgery in case of a life-threatening aortic dissection.

FIT has presented its use case of an application of artificial intelligence in the field of automated component identification, which was developed in close cooperation with the OTH Regensburg.

Art installation at the Sprengel Museum Hannover24.02.2022

Artist Peter Lang is hosting an action at the Sprengel Museum Hannover that harmoniously combines 3D printing and artistic creation in a way never seen before. The title of the action is "Sker," which is Icelandic for "rock island." In the museum's Einblickshalle, from March 11 to April 29, 2022, a robot will use 3D printing to create several large sculptures live from pigment-dyed wood plastic. The project was made possible by the intensive collaboration of FIT AG and its subsidiary Additive Tectonics, which specializes in architecture and art, and was the optimal implementation partner in terms of digitization and programming as well as 3D printing and technology development.
