SP3D - description of the process

In the SP3D process (Supersonic 3D Deposition), a rocket nozzle fires the metal powder onto the carrier plate at three times the speed of sound. The adhesion of the powder particles occurs not based on a heating and melting process, but on the extremely high kinetic energy of the ejection.
