Why FIT?

  • As a technology pioneer and classic first adopter, FIT invests in the latest technologies and makes them available to customers
  • FIT is the first company worldwide to add this promising technology to its range of services
  • At FIT, the system is validated for production on an industrial scale
  • Integrated into FIT's workflows, the difficult additive manufacturing of copper is not only possible but also apt for industrial use

SP3D - description of the process

In the SP3D process (supersonic 3D deposition), a rocket nozzle fires the metal powder onto the carrier plate at three times the speed of sound. The adhesion of the powder particles occurs not based on a heating and melting process, but on the extremely high kinetic energy of the ejection.
