Additive manufacturing is the perfect technology for ”lot size one”. However, many functional and quality requirements have to be fulfilled. A certified manufacturing process is required. Depending on your particular initial situation and your targets, we adjust your existing component for additive manufacturing or develop a new design for your component optimized for additive manufacturing. If you already have a ready-to-use data model, we can also offer you a pure manufacturing service.
INITIAL SITUATION: DESIGN DOES NOT EXIST
Design brief - We check the AM-feasibility of the design, develop recommendations and a proposal for next steps
Conceptual design - We implement the design brief, clarify the CMEs (Critical Manufacturing Elements), design a new product, perform simulation, and produce CME prototypes if required
Final design - We finalize the product design and produce test parts and CME samples if required
ADM-D - We develop individual software, special materials, and application-specific manufacturing processes tailored to your needs
GOAL: ADM-Q - We manufacture your single component with a highly standardized AM process (incl. post-processing, quality control, and shipment)
INITIAL SITUATION: DESIGN EXISTS
Feasibility check - We check the AM feasibility of the part, develop recommendations and a proposal for next steps
Feasibility study - We collect your requirements in an A&R (Applications & Requirements) report, clarify the CMEs and develop a feasible manufacturing process and a D&R (Design & Reliability) report
Design adjustment - We implement limited design changes
ADM-E - We change the design or create a new one through our engineering services
ADM-D - We develop individual software, special materials, and application-specific manufacturing processes tailored to your need
GOAL: ADM-Q - We manufacture your single component with a highly standardized AM process (incl. post-processing, quality control, and shipment)
Dipl.-Ing. Alexander Bonke graduated from TUM (Technische Universität München) in Mechanical Engineering and has been addicted to additive manufacturing since his beginnings at FIT Production in 2004. Due to his long-term experience, Alexander is an overall expert in ADM which means any interaction between additive design and 3D printing. His current main focus is laid upon our solutions ADM-Q and ADM-D.
