Personal data collected during a visit to one of our websites will be processed by us in compliance with the statutory data protection provisions and the laws pertaining to data security in the Federal Republic of Germany.
All visits to our website entail the collection of certain data, which is, among other things, necessary for the provision of offers.
1.1 Collection and processing of personal data, purpose
Personal data includes all information that relates to your identity, such as your name, your email address, or your postal address. Such data will only be stored when you make it available to us, e.g., when you order information materials, subscribe to an email information service, respond to a survey, or register for a prize competition.
All personal data entered during the course of using our Internet services will be collected, processed and used in accordance with the relevant provisions on protection of personal data, for the exclusive purpose of processing the customer inquiry and/or to protect our own legitimate business interests with regards to providing support and advice to our customers in needs-based product design and advertising.
1.2 General use and disclosure of personal data
We generally use your personal data to respond to your inquiry, to process your order, or to make special information or offers available to you. This may require us to disclose your data to other companies within our group or external service providers who render contract data processing services for us. We will only transmit your data to the respective companies and external service providers if we are legally permitted to do so, or if you have granted your express consent. We will not sell your personal data to third parties or otherwise market the data, except in cases where we sell unpaid receivables for collection.
Data may be transmitted to third countries as part of administration, development, and operation of IT systems, but only to the extent a) the transmission is legally permissible and b) subject to the special conditions for transmission of data to a third country. This includes in particular the data importer warranting an adequate data protection level that at least matches the protection level afforded by the EU standard contract clauses for the transmission of personal data to contract data processors in third countries. The legal basis for such transmission of data is the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz - BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz -TMG).
1.3 Voluntary disclosure of data
Any information you decide to make available to us is disclosed by you on a voluntary basis. Certain content on our website may not be available to you if you prefer not to disclose any information at all.
We take precautions to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, falsification, manipulation, and unauthorized access. We strictly comply at all times with the statutory data protection provisions that apply in the Federal Republic of Germany.
1.5 Transmission of data via the Internet
The Internet is a global environment. By using our websites or by communicating with us in electronic form via our contact forms, you consent to the unencrypted transmission of all data you choose to disclose to us. Because of the manner in which the Internet works and the risks inherent in its system, any data transmission undertaken from your computer will be at your own risk, unless we make a means of encrypted transmission available to you.
1.6 Recipients of the data
The data will be processed centrally within the FIT Additive Manufacturing Group and used on behalf of the group companies for advertising purposes.
The data processing may from time to time be supported by external service providers which process personal data on our behalf. The contractual arrangements under the commissioned data processing agreement we have concluded with these service providers ensure that they process the data exclusively for our business purposes and on the basis of our instructions.
When making your decisions, please take into account that this may in certain cases entail the transmission of your data to third countries outside of the EU. In such cases, we cannot assume any guarantee for the security of the data after transmission.
