PolyJet - description of the process

PolyJet technology, also referred to as “Fine Layer Technique” (FLT), applies layers of liquid photopolymer from a print head before this is cured by UV light. The layer thicknesses are extremely fine at 14 µm or 27 µm. This allows components with a high dimensional accuracy of +/- 0.1 % to be manufactured. Even 2-component parts can be manufactured in a single step. Depending on the geometry of the component, an easily removable support structure may be required, which is created by a second photopolymer component.
